How to Use AI Research Mode for Parallel Multi-Model Research
Research Mode is for the moment when one model's answer feels plausible but you are not sure it is complete. Instead of trusting a single recall pass, you run parallel research and merge what survives cross-checking.
Define a research brief, not a vague question
Weak research prompts produce weak comparisons. Write a brief with scope (market, timeframe, geography), output format (bullets, risks, sources to verify), and decision context (what you will do with the answer).
The same brief goes to every model in parallel. That keeps the comparison fair and makes differences meaningful — you are comparing interpretations of the same task, not accidentally different tasks.
Compare overlap, uniqueness, and confidence
After parallel runs, sort findings into three buckets: agreed facts (high confidence), unique claims (verify manually), and contradictions (investigate or debate). Overlap is your anchor. Uniqueness is where multi-model research earns its keep.
Do not average contradictions away. Flag them explicitly — they often reveal ambiguous definitions, outdated assumptions, or areas where human judgment must enter.
Synthesize into one actionable output
The last step is consolidation: one memo, one slide, one recommendation. Research Mode in PayCall.ai is designed to move from parallel collection to synthesis without exporting between tabs.
If synthesis raises new questions, escalate to an AI meeting where models can challenge the merged draft line by line.
